New Obsession: Tory Burch Reva Flats!

Hi Everyone!

If you watched my vacation/holiday haul (click here if not) you would have seen my latest shoe purchase.. the Tory Burch Reva Flats! I had been admiring these for quite some time and when i visited Boston four weeks ago, i decided to purchase a pair from Saks. I just love flats, they're the perfect in-between shoe, especially during the transitional months and they are comfortable! However, i have always stuck to the high-street brands and i decided it was time to invest in a nice pair of good-quality flats. They are remarkably cheaper in the states, so it was the perfect time to purchase a pair of Tory's! I was certain on purchasing the Reva style but i was unsure on which colour/print. I finally settled with the gold snake print design which now that i have them sat in my wardrobe, i can see that i made the right decision. They go with practically everything in my wardrobe! Snake print is huge this winter too which of course, is a great bonus! I have to admit, the first time i wore them, it was not a comfortable experience! They definitely take a few days to soften! However, after three or four outings, i can now say that they are very comfortable and a great pair of everyday flats! I love them and i will be wearing them until i absolutely have to get my boots out again!

I highly recommend these gorgeous flats if you are looking for a good-quality pair, that will see you through to the autumn and spring! There are many different prints and colours to choose from and you can purchase them from net-a-porter or Selfridges here in the UK.

Let me know what brands you like for your everyday flats. A girl can never have too many shoes!

Chanel Eyelash Curlers: Review & Comparison

Hi Everyone!

I recently purchased the new, limited edition, Chanel eyelash curlers! If you love Chanel or have a penchant for anything limited edition and very luxurious, then these are a must!
The eyelash curlers are available from all Chanel counters for a limited period of time only- so be quick! They retail for £24.00 which isn't too bad for a limited edition item. They come in a cardboard box which contains the curlers and two refill pads for the actual 'curling' component. The refill pads cannot be purchased separately. I was a little disappointed with the presentation of the packaging, personally when I'm buying a limited edition item i want it to feel special, yet there was no velvet pouch or container of some sort to store these in. I think Chanel should have included a presentation box or something similar as they are a collectible, limited edition item. Even their face powders come in small velvet pouches! A storage solution would make it much easier to travel with these eyelash curlers and add to exclusivity of the item. Besides that, i really like them! For a start, i love the design; simple, classic and typically Chanel! But, they also work very well too, there is absolutely no compromise on the quality! They are so easy and simple to use, it literally takes seconds to achieve fuller, longer lashes. This step makes a big difference to your mascara application and the overall effect.  They are also very lightweight and ergonomically comfortable to use.

In comparison to the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, i much prefer Chanel's. I think that they are much easier to use on a day-to-day basis- quick, easy and simple! I found the shape of the Shu Uemura curlers difficult and sometimes uncomfortable to work with. The Shu Uemura's are designed with the Asian market in mind, which can be seen by the differences in shape. The curve of the Chanel curler is smaller and deeper than that of Shu Uemura's, which in contrast is very long and flat, thus making them better suited for Asian eyes or those who have flat, straight eyelids. Chanel's is ideal for those who have round eyes, like myself. Shu Uemura's would often pinch my lashes or skin, as the shape was different to my natural eye shape, which as i mentioned, is very round.

Overall, i love these Chanel eyelash curlers and i highly recommend them, especially if you have experienced difficulties when working with the Shu Uemura lash curlers.

Tiffany & Co Fifth Avenue Box

So, as you all know, i have just returned from a two-week vacation/holiday to Boston, New York and Barbados. Of course i don't need to tell you that i shopped! A lot ! I went to a lot of US stores that aren't available here in the UK and made sure to pick up some exclusive items. I have a huge 'vacation haul' video on my you tube channel, if you want to see everything that i purchased (Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Saks, B&BW, Abercrombie etc.) but for now, i will gradually feature a few of my favourite items on my blog.  First up is my little blue box purchase ! As you can probably guess, i took a trip to the Fifth Avenue Tiffany & Co store whilst in NYC. I have had my eye on this gorgeous little trinket box adorned with girly illustrations and NYC landmarks since i saw it online a year or so ago. I had never been able to get it, as it is exclusive to the Fifth Avenue NYC store. As i was in NYC, i thought why not?!

Isn't it just gorgeous?! I love NYC and i love Tiffany & Co, so this was the perfect vacation/holiday souvenir for me! I love the illustrations of NYC landmarks; The Statue Of Liberty, Empire State and Central Park are all featured on this Bone China trinket box. I think its a great gift for someone who is visiting New York or simply loves the city. I will keep it forever and it will always remind me of my trip there!

I hope you are all well and enjoying the final days of summer! I will be back in action soon, so you can expect many more blogposts! I will also be posting some pics of my vacation/holiday and letting you know about some of my favourite places including shops of course!
